Science fiction conventions take place all over the world. There are literally hundreds of conventions. Some take place in large convention halls (think football stadium in size) other are just a few hundred people in a hotel banquet hall (large room). There are only a few conventions specific to one topic; most conventions include actors, artists, authors, games, movies, and other events.
